SWAT Problems and solutions

This page is under construction please visit later
Soil Water Analysis Tool (SWAT) is very popular hydrological model around the world http://swatmodel.tamu.edu/software/arcswat. This page is dedicated to answer problems faced by the SWAT users and compile some errors and solution which I came across

1.SWAT-Flow Calibration output
People who use Arc SWAT save their simulation data in an Access data base inside the Scenario folder. There are four folders in side that and we need to open tables out folder. In side that folder there is a SWAT output access data base. There will be more file inside that depending on your selection during the simulation. “hru”- gives individual HRU output where you need to look for if your predicting crop yield. “rch”-gives the flow output from each reach including all above sub basin drain to it. “sub”- gives individual sub basin water balance. “rsv”- gives reservoir output if you have any.
During the flow calibration we need ot use “rch” file and compare FLOW-OUT with the measured data. Units for “sub” flow and “rch” flows are differ. Sub basin flow give as a depth (mm) while Reaches give as a rate m3/s. if you open tbl*** tables , all the unit assigned are mentioned.
